hmmm...a good start definetly

I like that bass beat goin on and the bass melody with it is sick as hell. you've got a good song here. you just need to work on mixing the volumes more. like for example, the hi-hats were drowning out the bass melody. also, the ambietic synth in the background at times was also a little loud. you want those things to compliment the melody and what not, not be the center of the song.

but all in all, a good thing you got goin here. 8 stars. i'm impressed.

DJPsi responds:

Thank you, volume is probably the most difficult problem I have when it comes to producing songs. I like making strong defined beats, but at the same time having melody that does not drain out once the bass kicks in, or vice versa.
Again, thanks for commenting! Every bit helps.

I like it alot.

I was raised on classical music. i remember once my mother told me that she used to play while i was still in the womb even. so Classical orchestra is my main forte. I really enjoyed this piece. this is almost Lord of the Rings epicness material, so you've definetly got some knowledge in what you're doing.

The only thing i would change is adding more timpani into the mix. like just before hitting the melody notes, do a timpani drum roll that ends loudly and co-incides with the rising cymbal. i think that would just bring the epicness to it's full potential. well done. Nine stars

satsumaudio responds:

Thank you very much :) I don't really know what i'm doing very well at all music-theory wise tbh, i just try different things till it sounds right.

This is definetly matrix material

You've got a good rythym going on in this. i could totally see a slo-mo walk of Neo and Morpheus going on during this. I think though that you might want to turn the bass drum a bit more as it was being drowned out by the rest of the layers. then again, that's just my opinion.

One other thing i enjoyed was the preface you've written to go with this piece. i actually found myself putting the preface into rythym and rapping it to the music. it works really well and i think you've got something of real worth. I can't wait to hear some more stuff. 8 stars. Well done, man. Well done.

Druids-Warcry responds:

Well thank you Bweave. Im in the works of a new project. the preface was not words to the song, but more of a note and the mind set i was in when i wrote it.

I can dig it

See, i'm not a fan of Crazy Frog....Period. But this I could listen to all day. it's got a beautiful blend of music that i can't seem to get enough of. classical, new wave, a slight hint of Trance and some good ol fashioned house. Bass booms perfectly, melodies mesh well with the under and overtones. this is not just music. this is a work of art. well done. 10 stars.

SHADOWFOX2 responds:

Soooo...Crazy Frog huh? I'm a little lost about what you mean. You've gotta message me a bit on how he has anything to do with this LOL. Yeah, it was a bit difficult to try to figure out what genre this (as well as Boogie Remix) fell under 'cause I tried to do a bit of classical, and just DnB, and a bit of rave/techno, but I dunno. Glad it works for you!! I gotta find out what trance and new wave sounds like. Thanks for your review Bweave20, really appreciate it =^_^=

My headphones are in the shop..

Unfortunatly my headphones are being repaired so i could only get this on my laptop speakers (which suck ass). but i will review anyway. you had an excellent bass beat, i could hear it perfectly. i like the dark action theme you got going, this could definetly work in an action film of some kind. maybe Blade, something along those lines.

I Don't know why you made it train related though, i think that just diminishes the flavour of the song. personally i think you could to without the whole train theme and possibly put a trance like mix in it. the undertones already started that so all you have to do is crank up the base and make it a bit faster and you have a european rave song worthy of the clubs you saw in the first xXx movie. no, not a porno, the movie with Vin diesel!

All in all though you did a fairly good job. my foot was tapping the whole time,k but i want a song that will make me want to dance with all the chicks i see in a local nightclub. think you can do that? you get 8 stars. nice work.

Waterflame responds:

thank you! i dont know where to begin, its such a long review.. i made it train related cause that was the scene i imagined in my head when i made it. thats how i name every one of my songs :) to be honest, im kinda trying to stay away from the mainstream techno, simply cause it is to much of it, and i like to be experimental and creative. thats why i diddnt take it to the next level :)

hm... >:) on the other hand tho, if its a challenge i hear, im totally up for it! if 2-3 other reviews also request a more ravey remix i might do it. thank you for taking the time to review my song!

Oh my god a harpsichord...

I havent heard one of these since one of the Zelda game songs.

I like the European/Russian thing you got going on. a slow russian bass beat with the bass while the strings play the chords and the harpsi plays the melody. i think people would agree with me in say that Tchaikhovsky would be proud. 9 stars. well done.

russjohnson responds:

Hi thanks for the review. Appreciated :)

Ahh....Dark techno mixed with a distortioned guitr

Excellently mixed. I can see this on a good action flic like Blade or something in the upcoming future. definitly a headbanger's/robo-rocker's song.

NemesisTheory responds:

Oh, how I'd love to see this in a movie like Blade. I'd pay money for that, haha!

Robo-Rockers, I like that. >XD

YES! DIRTY DANCING TONITE!!

Excellent music! I especially enjoy the base undertones under the melody, it really gives it a kick from the standard "one-tone thump". keep up the good work dude.

Dj-UnKnOwN responds:

thanks =] yeah the bass undertones were cool when double square was playing (the beginning synth, and also the synth at :38) at i thought was pretty neat

This is definetly a neck stretcher

I say that because when you hear the song you can't help but not only nod your head, but do that wierd stretching forward thing with your neck. you know what i mean. but yeah, it's got a good bass and i'm a huge fan of bass. the loops' well done too. what were the programs you used?

itsameyayo responds:

Yeah, I know what you mean, that's not a bad idea, one more dance to add to the list :D

-I used Fruity Loops 6 for this song to answer your question, that's about it :)

-Thanks for the review!!!
